B Meet Details: Looking forward to our first home B meet! We will be hosting Fox Hunt. Please sign up for a volunteer job if you have a swimmer participating in the Monday night meet. We need lots of help for home meets - more than away!! Volunteers wear blue pants/shorts and white shirt unless you are working concessions or facilities. Declare your swimmers by NOON on Sunday for Monday’s Developmental Meet against Fox Hunt. Click “Meet Signup” in the app or SwimTopia website, then choose “Attending this Meet,” select two strokes, and hit “Save.” These cannot be the same two strokes your child swam at today’s meet if they swam. The coaches will validate your child’s readiness before strokes will be approved. IM counts as one of the two events you may select. Every swimmer is encouraged to participate in these developmental meets as they provide an opportunity for the entire team to win ribbons, improve times, and gain racing experience. They’re a ton of fun! We’ve got you covered for dinner, too! Concessions will be available! Please remind your swimmers to stay in the team area between events so coaches can find them easily to get them to Clerk of Course. The team area is also the best place to cheer on teammates! We also look forward to our first lollipop race for our youngest swimmers! This is a great opportunity for juniors to be part of the team, gain some confidence, and earn a lollipop from the coaches by getting across the shallow end! Kids should feel free to use a kickboard or other tool to help get across if needed. Coaches will also be in the water to help encourage kiddos and it is NOT necessary to actually "swim" the whole way - this is 100% for fun! The whole team looks forward to this fun start to the meet! *** Importantly we will also be keeping a close eye on the weather. Watch for updates in Swimtopia if any delay is necessary. DETAILS FOR MONDAY, July 6 HOME MEET: Meet Timeline We are going to aim for a 6:15 meet start so please pay attention to the following times: 5:15pm - South Run swimmers arrive ready to go! 5:20-5:40pm - South Run warm up 5:45pm-6:05pm - Fox Hunt warm up 5:50 - officials' briefing 5:55 - juniors' lollipop race 6:00pm - timers' briefing 6:15pm - meet begins Approximately 9:00pm - meet concludes ParkingThe lot is reserved for the visiting team - please park in the neighborhood but be aware of no parking signs / zones and don't block neighbor's driveways. We'll leave from the South Run pool parking lot at 7:35 a.m.; otherwise, please arrive at the Commonwealth pool no later than 8:00 a.m., and be ready for warm-ups. Volunteers: check the start times for your jobs and listen to the announcer for when and where briefings will take place. Marshals need to be in place for warm-ups to start. PARKING: Commonwealth has reserved their pool parking lot for us. Rally in the Alley Developmental Relay Meet The goal of Rally in the Alley is simple: provide a fun, low-pressure relay experience where younger swimmers can build confidence and enjoy being part of a relay team. Plus, it gives our youngest swimmers a chance to experience a Medley Relay before the following week’s Divisional Relay Carnival! Date: Wednesday, July 1, 2026 (If there is a rain-out, we will not be able to reschedule) Start Time: 6:30 PM, full timeline follows South Run SHOWTIME: 5:20 PM Expected End Time: Approximately 8:30 PM Awards: Every participating swimmer will receive a Rally in the Alley ribbon. MEET FORMAT We are focusing on FUN and aiming to give our younger swimmers a no-pressure chance to experience a relay team!
We will run seven (7) lanes, though outside lanes may occasionally be empty. The meet will not be pre-seeded. Teams are welcome to organize relay teams in advance, and several teams have brought relay boards in previous years, which worked very well. Relay teams will be assembled in team areas, and swimmer names will be recorded on notecards. The cards will stay with the relay teams as they proceed to Clerk of Course. The first swimmer in each relay will then hand their team’s card to the lane timer before the race begins. NEW THIS YEAR! Want to swim with friends from another team? Purchase a pink relay card for $5 at the 50/50 raffle table and create your own mixed-team relay. All proceeds support meet expenses and future Rally in the Alley fun. SPECTATORS Families are welcome to enjoy the patio tables near the Shark Shack, and additional seating will be available in bleachers or they may bring chairs for the large grassy area near the baby pool. CONCESSIONS The Shark Shack will be open starting no later than 6:00pm, and will be selling Chick-fil-A (sandwiches and nuggets), pizza, and other treats. Come Hungry! The Shark Shack accepts cash, credit cards, and ApplePay. RAFFLE FUN We will have a 50/50 raffle during the meet. One winner will receive a $100 SuitUp gift certificate, and a second winner will receive half of the total cash pot. |

Location Old Keene Mill Swim & Racquet Club **If you are interested in caravaning, line up at the South Run Pool ready to leave at 5:10!** Timeline 5:20 PM – coaches and marshalls arrive 5:30 PM – swimmers arrive NO LATER THAN 5:30 5:45 PM - officials arrive, briefing at 5:50 5:50 PM – Seahawks warm-ups start PROMPTLY 6:00 PM – Timers’ briefing 6:30 PM – Meet begins (they may start 5-10 minutes early if possible!) Approximately 9:00 PM – Meet concludes Parking Parking is limited but the lot is reserved for our team. If it is full you may have to park on Capella Ave. Concessions Concessions will be available- they are CASHLESS and accept credit cards and Apple Pay with a $3 minimum purchase. Team area contains lounge chairs and some tables / chairs. It will be in full shade by about 6pm so no need for canopy tents. It is adjacent to the deep end / Diving well on the side opposite the finish. Coaches are welcome to stand / sit by team reps to be closer if they want. We ask that swimmers remain in their team area so they can hear event announcements and report promptly to the Clerk of Course. |
